In the summer of 2023, the Ukrainian Humanity Center began sponsoring an 8-day overnight summer camp for Ukrainian refugee children in Warsawto the Tatra Mountains. 2024 followed with another mountain trip. And in August 2025, the adventures continued, but by the Baltic Sea!
THANK YOU to our dedicated supporters who donated the funds to bring these kids such a special experience! The kids range in age 9-14, and all came to Poland after the 2022 Russian attack on Ukraine.
To offer the campers the safest and most enjoyable time, we teamed up with TPD Warsaw (The Society of Friends of Children) in Warsaw, an organization passionately involved in organizing events that connect generations, integrate the local community, and support the educational development of children and youth. We at the UHC know that building friendships and community is vital for children and their families.
These faces are at the heart of our mission!
"We brought on our journey home a suitcase full of fond memories and deep gratitude to the Ukrainian Humanity Center. It was a beautiful time, full of joy, adventures, and shared moments."

The children really enjoyed visiting the Fisherman's House in Władysławowo. They listened with great interest to stories about the work of fishermen and the history of the region.

The lighthouse made a particularly strong impression – climbing to the top and admiring the breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding area was an unforgettable experience. It was a memorable adventure that will stay in the hearts of the participants for a long time.

Some of the obstacles were quite high and a bit tricky, but everyone did great and had lots of fun. The zip lines and rope bridges were the most exciting – there were a few nervous laughs, but even more smiles and cheering. The kids said it was “the best activity of the day” and “an awesome adventure in the trees.”
After the rope park, we played team games on the sand. We threw frisbees, had a tug-of-war, played tag, and enjoyed other group activities that kept us moving and laughing.

A lovely walk through the charming town of Hel gave us a true taste of the seaside atmosphere – colorful streets, the scent of the sea, and a peaceful coastal vibe delighted everyone.
At the seal sanctuary, we learned about the fascinating habits of seals and heard stories about their rescue and rehabilitation. The highlight was watching the seals being fed – the children were excited and deeply engaged, reacting joyfully to every splash and playful trick.

We headed to the beach for some volleyball and badminton matches. The weather was perfect – sunny with a warm breeze – and the games were full of energy and fun. The kids said it felt like a “real summer holiday by the sea.”
