Summer adventures are in full swing again! UHC sponsored another group of Ukrainian refugee kids to join together for an 8-day overnight camp. Thank YOU to our dedicated supporters who helped us with raising the funds to bring these kids such a special adventure!
Special thank you to Voodoo Brewing Co. - Virginia Beach for hosting a Tiny Art Fundraiser event supporting UHC. And thank you to the heartfelt generosity of the art educators to put together this fun and engaging giving event!
The UHC participated in the International Refugee Day picnic in Warsaw. To show our support of the community, we purchased water bottles as a giveaway to the children who stopped by our booth. Thank you Nataliia for your help getting these prepared and handing them out at the event!
The UHC received The Mary Pomeroy Award from The Delegation for Friendship Among Women which comes with a $1,500 grant. Kim Harms presented the award to Joanna Millick (UHC).
We are honored to accept this award from this amazing organization which has spent decades partnering with women across the globe to continue their important work aligned with the mission. Check out their website to learn more about this organization.
To be the bridge of hope as a safe place to join in community, providing education
and support services for
Ukrainian children and families.
During our visit to Poland in July 2022, we had the opportunity to listen to stories from Ukrainian mothers and children of their narrow escapes from the Russian attacks on Ukraine.
Our group felt compelled to take action to create a nonprofit organization that can improve the lives of these Ukrainian children and families.
As a group, we bring a diverse collaboration of experience and passion for helping others and being of service.
We know that Ukrainian children and families are facing unimaginable hardships and we are committed to our mission. From Teddy Bears and books, to food and shelter, the Ukrainian Humanity Center is taking action to provide much needed support.
